ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology (SMT) is the semiconductor lithography optics division of the ZEISS Group, a global technology leader. The division provides high-precision optical systems used in EUV and DUV lithography machines for semiconductor manufacturing, partnering closely with ASML. ZEISS SMT operates an R&D and production site in Israel at Bar Lev Industrial Park (Misgav) following the 2008 acquisition of Israeli startup Pixer Technology, enabling mask defect detection and repair technologies.
